Clayton Henry Alexander (he/him)
Clayton Henry Alexander is a South African actor, voice artist, screenwriter, director, and producer whose career spans film, television, commercials, animation, and original content creation. Represented by MMM Agency for on-camera work and working as a voice artist with ContentLab/TransPerfect Media, Clayton has built a reputation as a versatile performer with a strong work ethic, an engaging screen presence, and a genuine passion for storytelling.
Born and raised in Johannesburg, Clayton discovered his love for performance during his high school years. Between 2008 and 2010, he earned more than ten awards at the National Eisteddfod and received recognition at both the EADS and RAPS theatre festivals, including the Merit Award for Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actor. His dedication to the performing arts also earned him Full Colours in 2009 and 2010, culminating in his school's prestigious Contribution to Culture Trophy in his final year.
In 2014, Clayton relocated to Cape Town and committed himself fully to building a career in the entertainment industry. Through determination, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to learning, he steadily established himself as a versatile performer, appearing in productions ranging from television series to international commercial campaigns.
His on-screen credits include Tali's Jo'burg Diary (2022), commercial campaigns for Kraken Gold Rum (USA) (2023), Monte Carlo Clothing (2023), Avocados & Coconuts (2023), and Eerste Bank (2024). Most recently, he appears as Officer Jacobs in Average Joe Season 2, released on Paramount+ August 2025.
Clayton's passion for performance extends beyond the screen. In 2024, he joined ContentLab/TransPerfect Media as an in-house voice artist, recording thousands of lines across feature films, animated series, and games while showcasing an impressive vocal range and command of multiple accents. His notable voice credits include Max MacCallister in Milky Subway: The Galactic Limited Express (Netflix Feature Film and YouTube Series), Kenshiro in Fist of the North Star: Hokuto No Ken (Amazon Prime, 2026)—a role secured through MMM Agency—and the crossover video game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves x Fist of the North Star.
Driven by a passion for creating meaningful stories, Clayton co-founded 1LP Films in 2023, where he serves as lead screenwriter, director, executive producer, and creative collaborator. The company is dedicated to developing original South African content while creating opportunities for emerging filmmakers and creatives. Their debut short film, ITCH, completed post-production in 2024, with additional original projects currently in development.
Known for his professionalism, versatility, and collaborative spirit, Clayton approaches every project with creativity, authenticity, and unwavering dedication. Whether portraying compelling on-screen characters, bringing animated roles to life through voice performance, or developing stories behind the camera, he continues to push the boundaries of his craft while embracing every opportunity to grow as an artist.
Away from the industry, Clayton enjoys continually learning new skills and devotes his spare time to being a dedicated father to his daughter and two very spoiled cats.
