Film nominations and awards

Zoryn was twelve years old when "Imagine" was filmed.

Imagine Fashion Film is about a young girl’s dream of becoming a supermodel, coming true. Falling asleep, her dream spirals into a crazy world of fashion and magic that leads her to the Supermodel event of the year, complete with her pet bunny turning into her prince charming. Upon waking, she discovers whilst wiping her sleepy eyes, that her dream had catapulted her into reality.

Speaking as her mother and director of "Imagine", she was a pleasure to direct. Zoryn immersed herself in the role, and took direction exceptionally well. "Imagine" was conceptualized by her, and although she had a clear picture of what she wanted the end product to be, she put on her actors' hat and listened to direction.

Her hard work paid off, as Imagine first became a finalist for Best Treatment at the Cape Town Mercedes-Benz Bokeh Fashion Film Festival in the Emerging Creative Talent category, urging us to enter her film into international film festivals.

Zoryn was awarded “Best Young Actress” by the Los Angeles Film Awards, as well as “Best Young Actress” by the Actors Awards festival, also based in LA. She has received further nominations for “Best Young Filmmaker” by the “Top Shorts” festival and “Best Film” by the Festigious festival and nominated as “Best Young Actress”. Imagine was awarded “Special Mention” at the One-Reeler Short Film Competition in June 2018.
