Amit Raz, originally from Israel, embarked on a diverse journey that shaped his artistic and culinary endeavors. At the age of 13, he immigrated to South Africa, where he blossomed in Cape Town. His passion for the arts led him to study art and design, with a particular focus on performance art.

Early in his career, Amit showcased his creativity in various art festivals, integrating physical theatre, dance, and multimedia into his performances at gallery openings. Transitioning into the entertainment world, he crafted unique acts as different characters for events and earned the title of the house performer at Madam Zingara restaurant and later Theatre of Dreams.

In 2006, driven by his love for cooking, Raz opened a contemporary Indian eatery in the heart of Cape Town. The restaurant quickly gained popularity, featured in television shows and magazines. Balancing his culinary pursuits, Amit pursued acting, honing his skills through classes with Bonnie Rodini and ACT for presenting.

While managing his restaurant, Raz secured roles in international series and commercials. In 2012, he wrote, produced, and performed in the one-man show "Hypnopompic," a captivating blend of physical theatre, puppetry, and video art that showcased his creativity and personal expression.

In 2016, Raz sold his restaurant and embarked on a global journey, further enriching his permormsnce skills with singing, pole acrobatics, hula hoop, and juggling. A year later, he composed and produced a song, demonstrating his multifaceted artistic talents.

Today, Amit Raz thrives as a vegan chef and consultant for a plant-based food tech company based in Switzerland. Simultaneously, he continues to pursue his acting career in South Africa and internationally, embracing the intersection of culinary and performing arts with passion and dedication.
