A gifted creative, Amante is a trained singer with experience in both opera and pop music and has skills in piano, recorder, and steel drums. She is also a talented voice artist and is fluent in isiXhosa and English, with basic proficiency in isiZulu. Her warmth, authenticity, and ability to connect with audiences make her well suited to television commercials, film, voice-over work, and digital productions.

Cape Town resident, Amante, was born and raised in Idutywa by her now late grandparents who have influenced her in both the world of fashion and music. Music came from hours and days spent listening to classical music records and CDs with her grandfather and there her love for singing began. She would do small performances for her grandparent’s guests when they hosted parties at their Idutywa residence. Fashion came from watching her grandmother sew all sorts of wonderful garments. She was then gifted a toy sewing machine that actually worked like the real one. It would be in Grade 10 of high school that she would decide to pursue a career in fashion design, and graduated with an Advanced Diploma in 2016. Amante has 7 years in the fashion industry, building on her home-based fashion business.

During her schooling years, she also delved in acting by joining drama clubs in primary and high school. Becoming a presenter for Yo-TV and Top Billing was something she had dreamed of but never got the chance, so that dream was pushed to the back. In 2018 she discovered a friend of hers was in a Spec-Savers advert and inquired how he did it. She was introduced to the world of casting agencies and joined Casting 101 then where she was successfully cast for an extras role in a pharmaceutical advert for the US. When the agency closed its doors, she was moved over to MMM Agency where she continues to be a part of.

Work History:
Most recently, Amante portrayed Miss Khumalo in the short-form production, After the Bell, showcasing her natural on-camera presence and versatility as a performer.
