Anna Ferraz discovered her passion for acting at the age of nine when she joined the Cape Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA). As a child who struggled with anxiety, the stage became a place of comfort and confidence, a space where stepping into different characters allowed her imagination to flourish and her worries to fade. From that moment, acting became not only her greatest passion but an integral part of who she is.
At the age of 17, Anna completed her London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) examinations with a Distinction, further cementing her commitment to developing her craft. In 2020, she joined MMM Agency to pursue a professional on-screen career, embracing every opportunity to grow as a performer in film and television.
Anna has graduated in Multimedia Production and Film at the University of Cape Town, where she continued to expand both her creative and technical understanding of the industry. She regularly performs in short films, enjoys writing, and can often be found learning every lyric to her favourite musicals.
Most recently, Anna featured in the acclaimed South African television drama Kelders van Geheime, adding another exciting credit to her growing body of work and further showcasing her talent as a versatile on-screen performer.
For Anna, acting is far more than a profession, it is a way of understanding people, exploring emotions, and telling meaningful stories. She believes every role offers a chance to grow, connect, and discover something new. Inspired by Paul Newman's words, "To be an actor you have to be a child," she embraces every performance with curiosity, imagination, and the joy of creative exploration.
With her authenticity, dedication, and genuine love for storytelling, Anna continues to establish herself as an exciting young talent with a bright future in the South African entertainment industry.
